Fishing 2010

This year Dad planted fish in the pond out back, in doing so he also had some gold trout placed in as prize fish. We have got A LOT of fun out of fishing with everyone. The kids just love it! ( I include myself with the kids in that!) Lately we have been fishing more because all the fish need to be out before the snow comes. Last weekend Josh and Bryce were helping Dad outside with some fencing and all the other things that needed done and Halley and the boys were hanging with me inside while I did things. Brian and the girls were also up for the weekend, and were here hanging out. After all the work was done we went fishing :) oh it was so much fun.... I am offically the first person to have got a gold fish on the hook, although he jumped off like 2 feet from the bank! DANG IT!!! I was so excited. Carter had enough fun for everyone... he thought fishing was the coolest thing EVER! I still remember how he just giggled and laughed and kept asking us to catch those fish. Brian even insisted that I had to hold one of the fish I caught, little did I know that I was going to kill it by holing to tight. But.... it was a big fish and I kept dropping it. Thanks everyone for all the fun, and Josh thanks for hanging out and fishing long after everyone else left for the house... I AM GOING TO GET THAT GOLD ONE!!!

8 Mile Camping

Bryce seems to LOVE 8 mile to go dirt biking and camping so he decided that we should go as a family and meet up with some friends and their children, and also a friend from work. We had tried to do this group biking and camping excursion a couple weeks prior and when we got out there we couldn't find the turn off and then we blew the transmission in the pickup. We arrived Friday night and set up. I knew instantly that I was going to not really enjoy the camping trip since it was late in the year and cold, not to mention that there was like no grass just dirt for the kids to play in and when I say dirt what I mean is powder dust.! oh wait did I mention the boys were planning on biking most of the day sat. So after we got breakfast on sat morning the boys headed out to ride. The kids went to playing with Jake and Tara's kids. Tara and I chilled around the fire and got to know each other better. Kaybree was in LOVE with their dog Hobbs, such a mellow dog just layed and let Kaybree bug it. She had to keep laying next to it in the dirt. The rest of the kids played hard and rode the dirt bike. The older boys must have seen their dads work on their bikes a time or two because they rode it for a while and then parked it and went for the tool box on Bryces tail gate because they said they needed to "fix" their bike!! So cute. We ate lots of yummy food (like always) and then headed for home the next morning.... not as horrible as I thought it would be but it did have its dull moments. Thanks Tara for hanging out at camp with me and kids, us girls will have to drag the boys to the mall while they babysit in the play area! HA HA

State Fair. 2010

Again this year I convinced myself that it was worth spending the money to take the kids to the fair. ! WRONG it was SO NOT worth the amount of money we spent. There just was nothing worth seeing or buying, Kenna and I did end up buying some new sunglasses. I did enjoy the food, like always. Grandpa Gary came with us and he had fun with the giant blow up cow.!
