Snow day

The kids just love to be outside, even when its freezing outside. It was a semi nice day out so I let them go play while I worked on quilting. Kaybree does NOT like to be left out of anything so I dressed her all up and sent her outside as well. The older two made a snowman and used cookies for the buttons and eyes. Kaybree face planted a few times trying to walk, but she didnt mind the snow in her face. McKenna started a snow fight with Bryce, he of course had a blast with the kids and throwing snow.! I am glad I stopped my project inside to go out and watch, and take pic.

McKenna Birthday

We have learned that having McKennas friend birthday party a few weeks prior to her birthday works best for her friends. Its so hard to have a party on her birthday... Dec 27. She invited somewhere around 15-20 kids to her party. THANK GOODNESS not all were able to come. 7-8 year old kids have WAY WAY to much energy! McKenna asked me to make better than anything cupcakes for her party. We ate pizza , played games, opened presents and played in the snow. It was a great party! Happy Birthday McKenna we love you so much and we are so proud of you. Your growing up so fast.

Happy Birthday Teegan

After many requests from Holly and Brian to come down and visit, we decided that we would do that for Teegans 5th birthday. We had so much fun. Sat morning when we woke up Holly and I went to eat breakfast ALONE at the original pancake house , they had the BEST pancakes!! Everyone needs to eat there. We left there and went to healing mountain to get massages! Then picked up a few things for Teegans birthday on our way home.. It was SO great to get to spend one on one time with my sister, * it rarely happens and even more rare to hang out with out kids! THANKS TO OUR WONDERFUL HUSBANDS FOR BABYSITTING!! When we returned home we let Teegan open his presents, and then we had to take the pogo stick back to Target since no one could get the thing to bounce cuz the spring was to tight... Thanks Holly and Brian for the gift and then for the replacement one.. The guys needed away for a while so Holly and I took the kids out to lunch at the Myan... WOW it was fun to watch their faces light up when we went in. We were able to get a front booth to eat and and enjoy the divers. Then off to the bounce house!! The kids skated , bounced, and played arcade games, Kenna and Taylor each won their own games and then they and Teegan won a diffrent game together.. GOOD JOB winning the skating games kids!~~Everyone had a great time , Uncle Brian even shared his icee with Kaybree. I wish that we all lived closer together we sure do miss spending time with all of them... ONE DAY we will live closer. Love you guys so much !!

Halloween...

As my Dad pointed out I need to update my blog... been a little busy. First off Halloween...This year McKenna wanted to be Cinderella but not the princess she wanted to be the mad!!! ( Funny since it was not to long before that she was upset with Bryce and I for making her help clean up the messes in the house... she gave us attitude and said " you should have named me Cinderella cuz all I do is work work work!!! " ) So I made her costume she wanted Kaybree to be one of her mice, I was given the option of the mean step sisters or the step mom.. I choose to be the cat! Teegan asked to be the incredibles. We first went to Grandma Kaye's house for some tricking and treating... more just to visit with her, I never seem to get over there very often to visit. Then off to Jeff and Sallys ward trunk or treat.. this is the best and safest way for kids to trick or treat.. we have joined in on it for like 4 years now and I really love it. They always do hot chocolate and doughnuts for everyone and its so nice.Plus Bryce gets to visit with his old ward. Then we went off to do some door to door, stoped at Grandma Sally's , Great Grandma Luthy's, Aunt Debbie and some of her neighborhood. After it was done Bryce, the kids and I went with Mom and Dad to dinner and Josh met us there. What a great night.... ended in a race home with dad... I would have won, but he pulled out some BS pass on the right side... oh well. We all had a fun night.

Fishing 2010

This year Dad planted fish in the pond out back, in doing so he also had some gold trout placed in as prize fish. We have got A LOT of fun out of fishing with everyone. The kids just love it! ( I include myself with the kids in that!) Lately we have been fishing more because all the fish need to be out before the snow comes. Last weekend Josh and Bryce were helping Dad outside with some fencing and all the other things that needed done and Halley and the boys were hanging with me inside while I did things. Brian and the girls were also up for the weekend, and were here hanging out. After all the work was done we went fishing :) oh it was so much fun.... I am offically the first person to have got a gold fish on the hook, although he jumped off like 2 feet from the bank! DANG IT!!! I was so excited. Carter had enough fun for everyone... he thought fishing was the coolest thing EVER! I still remember how he just giggled and laughed and kept asking us to catch those fish. Brian even insisted that I had to hold one of the fish I caught, little did I know that I was going to kill it by holing to tight. But.... it was a big fish and I kept dropping it. Thanks everyone for all the fun, and Josh thanks for hanging out and fishing long after everyone else left for the house... I AM GOING TO GET THAT GOLD ONE!!!

8 Mile Camping

Bryce seems to LOVE 8 mile to go dirt biking and camping so he decided that we should go as a family and meet up with some friends and their children, and also a friend from work. We had tried to do this group biking and camping excursion a couple weeks prior and when we got out there we couldn't find the turn off and then we blew the transmission in the pickup. We arrived Friday night and set up. I knew instantly that I was going to not really enjoy the camping trip since it was late in the year and cold, not to mention that there was like no grass just dirt for the kids to play in and when I say dirt what I mean is powder dust.! oh wait did I mention the boys were planning on biking most of the day sat. So after we got breakfast on sat morning the boys headed out to ride. The kids went to playing with Jake and Tara's kids. Tara and I chilled around the fire and got to know each other better. Kaybree was in LOVE with their dog Hobbs, such a mellow dog just layed and let Kaybree bug it. She had to keep laying next to it in the dirt. The rest of the kids played hard and rode the dirt bike. The older boys must have seen their dads work on their bikes a time or two because they rode it for a while and then parked it and went for the tool box on Bryces tail gate because they said they needed to "fix" their bike!! So cute. We ate lots of yummy food (like always) and then headed for home the next morning.... not as horrible as I thought it would be but it did have its dull moments. Thanks Tara for hanging out at camp with me and kids, us girls will have to drag the boys to the mall while they babysit in the play area! HA HA

State Fair. 2010

Again this year I convinced myself that it was worth spending the money to take the kids to the fair. ! WRONG it was SO NOT worth the amount of money we spent. There just was nothing worth seeing or buying, Kenna and I did end up buying some new sunglasses. I did enjoy the food, like always. Grandpa Gary came with us and he had fun with the giant blow up cow.!
