Fishing 2010

This year Dad planted fish in the pond out back, in doing so he also had some gold trout placed in as prize fish. We have got A LOT of fun out of fishing with everyone. The kids just love it! ( I include myself with the kids in that!) Lately we have been fishing more because all the fish need to be out before the snow comes. Last weekend Josh and Bryce were helping Dad outside with some fencing and all the other things that needed done and Halley and the boys were hanging with me inside while I did things. Brian and the girls were also up for the weekend, and were here hanging out. After all the work was done we went fishing :) oh it was so much fun.... I am offically the first person to have got a gold fish on the hook, although he jumped off like 2 feet from the bank! DANG IT!!! I was so excited. Carter had enough fun for everyone... he thought fishing was the coolest thing EVER! I still remember how he just giggled and laughed and kept asking us to catch those fish. Brian even insisted that I had to hold one of the fish I caught, little did I know that I was going to kill it by holing to tight. But.... it was a big fish and I kept dropping it. Thanks everyone for all the fun, and Josh thanks for hanging out and fishing long after everyone else left for the house... I AM GOING TO GET THAT GOLD ONE!!!

8 Mile Camping

Bryce seems to LOVE 8 mile to go dirt biking and camping so he decided that we should go as a family and meet up with some friends and their children, and also a friend from work. We had tried to do this group biking and camping excursion a couple weeks prior and when we got out there we couldn't find the turn off and then we blew the transmission in the pickup. We arrived Friday night and set up. I knew instantly that I was going to not really enjoy the camping trip since it was late in the year and cold, not to mention that there was like no grass just dirt for the kids to play in and when I say dirt what I mean is powder dust.! oh wait did I mention the boys were planning on biking most of the day sat. So after we got breakfast on sat morning the boys headed out to ride. The kids went to playing with Jake and Tara's kids. Tara and I chilled around the fire and got to know each other better. Kaybree was in LOVE with their dog Hobbs, such a mellow dog just layed and let Kaybree bug it. She had to keep laying next to it in the dirt. The rest of the kids played hard and rode the dirt bike. The older boys must have seen their dads work on their bikes a time or two because they rode it for a while and then parked it and went for the tool box on Bryces tail gate because they said they needed to "fix" their bike!! So cute. We ate lots of yummy food (like always) and then headed for home the next morning.... not as horrible as I thought it would be but it did have its dull moments. Thanks Tara for hanging out at camp with me and kids, us girls will have to drag the boys to the mall while they babysit in the play area! HA HA

State Fair. 2010

Again this year I convinced myself that it was worth spending the money to take the kids to the fair. ! WRONG it was SO NOT worth the amount of money we spent. There just was nothing worth seeing or buying, Kenna and I did end up buying some new sunglasses. I did enjoy the food, like always. Grandpa Gary came with us and he had fun with the giant blow up cow.!

1st Brithday

Kaybree Vera Luthy had her first birthday at Sugar City Park. on Sat Aug 21st, Grandma Sally, Aunt Katrina, Uncle Logan & Aunt Mallory, Jason , Brandi and the kids, Josh and the boys all attended. Thanks everyone for coming!! I still cant believe that its already been 1 year since she was born... where did all those months go??? Kaybree was so sweet she started off just grabbing a little cake and nicely eating it... then came the fist fulls. :) Teegan also enjoyed Kaybrees smash cake with his face and letting the dog lick it off YUCK buddy that was so sick!!

First Hair cut

Kaybree was in need of a hair cut, we set up an appointment with one of the finest stylist in the area. I was a little emotional, everything went GREAT! THANKS Brittani for cutting my baby girls hair. Turned out great.

Teegan

Teegan had to have surgery , he needed he tonsils and adnoids out and also tubes put in his ears. He had always had a lot of ear infections and seemed to be getting sick more and more. Not to mention that sometimes he just doesnt sleep well at nights and is up alot. His hearing test showed that he was really not hearing much at all because of all the negative pressure in his ears. We were at Madison Mermorial Hospital at 6:30 a.m. and they came and took him into surgery by about 7:30-8:00. It was about 45 min later Dr. McMaster came back to the room and told me that everything went well and he was in recovery and that the nurse would be in shortly to take me to the recovery room to be with him. About 10 min later here the nurse comes wheeling Teegan back in , they said the was very alert and his vitals looked great and so they decided that they could just monitor him from his room. YEAH! He was only in his room for about 15 min before he sat up and said "mom I'm hungry" so we fed him jello, pudding, apple juice, water and some more pudding. His nurse was so shocked at how fast he was recovering, she gave him his medicine and said we could go as long as he kept it down.. he did and we were home before noon. :)

Raging Waters & Heritage Park

Bryce and I were in charge of planning this years Luthy Family reunion. We decided to go to Raging waters in utah and also Heritage Park ( This is the place monument) WE HAD A BLAST!! We were at Raging waters for 8 hours of fun! Everyone had such a fun time playing in the water. We didnt see alot of Jeff and Sally as they were like kids all over again and were off on the slides and lazy river most of the time, in fact when it was time to leave we had to go get them because they were still going strong. !!! We did have a few oops. McKenna was doing flips in the wave pool while the waves were going and then she tried to do a front flip after the water had went down and she smacked her head on the bottom. ( good thing it was almost the end of the day) . Bryce and I had went down one of the slides that goes underground and it was ok, but apparently its more fun to ride double on it.... everyone encouraged us to try it so we did..... DANG IT!! we made the first turn great ( we were really catching speed) then somehow the 2nd turn got us... the mat just STOPPED and I went flying forward into the side of the slide with my head and ear and luckily Bryce was able to catch himself so not to take me out. I dont remember much except Bryce grabbing hold of me and next thing I knew the pool of water was rushing at my face, and I herd someone ask if I was ok. OUCH!!! NO I WASN'T... my head was throbbing so bad and my vision kept coming and going and I couldn't hear out of my ear.... Good thing it also happened at the end of the day. Glad we all kept up on sunscreen and no one ended up to sunburned. Sally and Jeff got the worse of things.
Day 2- Heritage Park.... Once we all arrived we got to ride around on the train and see everything there was at the park to go do. We went into the tin shop, leather shop and the kids got to stamp leather, panned for gold and then cashed it in at the bank for candy, made a dream catcher with the Utes Indian tribe, and seen teepees and huts. Rode on a different train, played on the boat. Unfortunately Bryce had to be on a plan in I.F. at 5:30 that same day so we were not able to spend very long at the park... WE WILL HAVE to go back there were SO many things we wanted to still go and do there. Thanks everyone for going to Utah this year, we really had a GREAT time and I hope you all did as well.
